Assisted Living

Arlin Falck Assisted Living opened in 2000 with 16 apartments. 16 more were added in 2003, with a total of 32 apartments. Our building is three stories. The garages, activity areas, main entrance, and offices are located on the ground floor. Apartments and common areas are located on the first and second floors, with an elevator for convenience. Apartments range in size from 625 square feet to 900 square feet, with one and two bedroom options. All units are handicap accessible. Apartments are rented on a monthly basis. A registered nurse and social worker are on-site 5 days per week and on-call 24/7. An affordable guest room is available for the families of tenants and residents to rent (includes two beds, kitchenette, closet, and full bath).

Assisted Living amenities include the following:

  • Priority admission to the Nursing Home, Independent Living Apartments, and Townhomes

  • Multipurpose room available to reserve (at no charge) for large events and gatherings

  • Personal emergency alert buttons and pull cords in the apartments

  • Indoor walkway between Assisted Living and the Nursing Home

  • Located minutes from Winneshiek Medical Center hospital

The monthly rent includes the following services:

  • Continental breakfast and noon meal (special diets are provided per physician's order)

  • Afternoon snack and coffee hour

  • Weekly housekeeping services

  • Weekly flat laundry (bed linens & towels)

  • Daily activities (full-time activity director is on staff)

  • Van for transportation to local medical appointments

  • Van trips to Walmart

  • 24/7 attendant on duty for emergency needs

  • Daily wellness checks

  • Routine health assessment by Registered Nurse and Social Worker

  • Utilities including heat, electric, sewer, and trash

  • Religious services provided by local clergy

Additional services are available:

Prior to admission or readmission, tenants must have an assessment done by the Social Worker and Registered Nurse, to ensure they are eligible for admission. We maintain a waiting list for admission.
